Car rolls down embankment on A684

The emergency services were called out in the early hours of this morning after a car crashed on the A684.

The accident occurred at Romanby, near Northallerton at around 1am.

Police, firefighters and ambulance crew were called to the scene.

A spokesman for North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Fire crew from Northallerton attended a single vehicle road traffic collision.

“A Vauxhall Zafira had gone down an embankment.”

The occupants managed to get out of the vehicle.

One person suffered a fractured wrist, but nobody was seriously injured.
