A Wensleydale youngster has competed for Great Britain at the World Aquathlon Championships.
Matthew Lambert, from Carperby, travelled to the Danish island of Fyn earlier this month to take part.
He came seventh in the under 20 age group despite having just turned 16 at the end of June.
This story continues after the adverts:
The race started with a 1km swim, which took place in Middelfart Harbour.
The sea was full of jellyfish which had just arrived a couple of days earlier. Although not dangerous they did sting!
The swim was followed by a 5km run.
Matt was sponsored by the Wensleydale Rotary, Wensleydale Round Table and Triology Multi Sport Solutions from Ellerton.
