Car stolen in Melsonby found in Darlington

A car stolen this week in Melsonby has been found by police in Darlington.

Three cars, a red Suzuki van, a 68 plate Citroen van which was sign written for Greensleeves lawn care, and a silver Jaguar registration SK05 AXW, were taken in the burglary on Tuesday night.

Last night, police from Richmond found the Citroen in the Darlington area.

This vehicle was seized and will be examined by scenes of crime officers.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: “Please if you are out and about keep your eyes open for the further two stolen vehicles, a Red Suzuki van (no VRM as was to be used for scrap), and a Silver Jaguar with the registration SK05 AXW.

“Enquiries have established that we believe all vehicles headed towards the Darlington area after stolen.

“The remaining two could still be in Darlington, or could now have moved further afield.”
