Catterick careers event planned to help military families

A careers event will take place in Catterick this week to help military families.

BFRS (British Forces Resettlement Services) will host their next National Armed Forces Community Careers Event on Thursday at Catterick Leisure Centre.

The event will take place between 9.30am and 1.30pm.

Organisers says members of the Armed Forces community can network with employers and training providers from over 70 different companies.

The event is free to attend.

Neil Dean, COO of BFRS said: “Since the start of the year, BFRS have welcomed thousands of attendees to our events, giving them the opportunity to discuss their futures with hundreds of different companies, across a wide variety of sectors.

“These companies truly value the service and skillsets of forces members.”

Deputy Lieutenant of North Yorkshire, David A Kerfoot CBE DL attended the previous BFRS Careers Fair in Catterick.

He said that the event was a “thriving environment rich with plenty of opportunities for service personnel to seek new opportunities and develop their skills.”
