Catterick Garrison bar to reopen ‘as soon as possible’

A Catterick Garrison bar has closed but will reopen ‘as soon as possible’.

A spokesperson for KOKO/Kabana Sports Bar in Shute Road confirmed this evening that the bar will be closed this weekend but will reopen.

Asked why it has had to close, they said it was for personal reasons.

Two people were arrested after police raided the bar last month.

Police executed a warrant on a Saturday night.

A 45-year-old woman from Brompton-on-Swale and a 38-year-old man from Colburn were arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class A drug – cocaine – and supply of a controlled drug of Class A, also cocaine.

Both were released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Director Andrea Hornsby, director of KOKO/Kabana Sports Bar, said at the time that those arrested were a member of the public and an off-duty member of staff.
