A Catterick Garrison boxing coach has completed the Yorkshire Three Peaks to raise money for the club where he coaches.

Simon Done and regimental friends from the Mercian Regiment finished the 24.3-mile route in 10 hours 28 minutes, raising £1,280 in sponsorship.

The money will go to Southside Boxing Academy in Glasgow where Simon has coached for the last two years and where his son, Elliot, who has won numerous schoolboy titles, now trains.

I was accompanied by 3 of my Regimental pals from the Mercian Regiment on the route throughout.

Simon said: “I’d like to thank everyone in the garrison who generously donated towards the challenge.”
