Catterick Garrison Elvis impersonator still in building and doing live stream

A Catterick Garrison Elvis impersonator will perform a live stream today to cheer up fans of the singer during the lockdown.

Kidd Galahad is a professional Elvis tribute act who has performed across the country.

He is also a retained firefighter based at Colburn.

He will be performing a live set via Facebook at 2pm on Thursday.

The performer said: “It’ll be a chilled set, comprising of songs people request beforehand and some of my favourites.

“If I’m totally honest, I’m really nervous about performing a live stream.

“I am actually very quiet and a bit boring — I hide behind an image onstage and turn my ego on and off as required.

“So, this idea terrifies me. Still, it will be good to sing.”

Kidd has warned his followers that because he is a retained firefighter he may have to dash out mid-set if he gets a call-out.

“I must declare that I am a firefighter, so times may change suddenly and without warning, or I may just run out,” he added.
