Richmondshire estate agents Love Property will celebrate the opening of their second branch this weekend.

The company, which opened its first shop in Catterick Garrison in 2009, will launch its Richmond office tomorrow.

Love Property was founded by businesswomen Kelly Jeffrie and Laura Kidd with a mission to provide a down to earth and friendly service to take the stress out of home moving.

Kelly said they were thrilled to be expanding into Richmond, which was the traditional base for estate agents in the district.

She said the company had grown to now have the majority market share of sales in Catterick Garrison, and the expansion into Richmond was a natural step.

“We are starting to get higher-end properties to market and we decided we would be better serving them by having an office here in Richmond as well as our Catterick branch.

“We only got the keys a month ago and it has been a mad rush to get the building completed, but we think it now looks great and we’re thrilled to be opening this weekend.

“We’ve had an amazing response from our neighbours and other businesses in Richmond. Everybody seems really happy for us and we can’t wait to get going.”

The company has taken over a former cafe in Trinity Church Square near Penleys and the Green Howards Regimental Museum.

The four-storey building has needed new floors and lighting, a new kitchen and has been repainted from top to bottom.

Kelly said the aim had been to create a boutique estate agents.

“We wanted to create a more relaxed experience for sellers and buyers where people could call in for an informal chat and a coffee,” she added.
