Catterick Garrison store set to close after less than a year

The premises was a Brantano before being an Office Outlet.

A store is set to close at Princes Gate in Catterick Garrison after less than a year.

Signs have been put up saying the Office Outlet store is shutting.

The store only opened in July last year.

It was announced on Monday that the company had been placed in administration, putting 1,200 jobs at risk nationally.

Two partners at Deloitte were appointed joint administrators.

They said all 90 of Office Outlet’s stores would continue trading while the business was marketed to potential new owners.

The Catterick premises were previously occupied by footwear firm Brantano until the company’s collapse in 2017.

The retailer, which was formerly known as Staples, is not connected to the online-only business which currently trades under the Staples name.
