Catterick Golf Club is appealing to local businesses for support as it prepares to hold a charity golf event to raise money for people affected by flooding in Nepal.
More than 40 teams have signed up to take part in the club’s Nepal Flood Disaster Charity Open, which takes place on Sunday, September 20.
Following a strong response from golfers and the wider community, organisers are now hoping businesses will help boost the amount raised by sponsoring prizes or donating items for a raffle.
Prize sponsorship packages are available from £30 to £90, with businesses supporting the event set to receive recognition through the club’s publicity and during the competition.
Organisers say all contributions will help increase the amount raised for those affected by the floods.
A spokesperson for Catterick Golf Club said: “We have been overwhelmed by the support for the Nepal Charity Open, with over 40 teams now entered.
“We’re hoping local businesses can help us take the fundraising one step further.
“Whether it’s £30 towards a prize or a raffle donation, every contribution will make a difference, and we’ll be delighted to recognise the businesses that support us.”
The club is inviting businesses of all sizes to get involved, either by sponsoring one of the prizes for the winning teams or providing a raffle prize.
