A football coach is preparing to walk 84 miles along Hadrian’s Wall over three days to raise money for Catterick Garrison Football Centre.
U11s coach Bill Parkinson will attempt the hike in early May.
Bill said the club was a worthy cause.
“The club is ran by volunteers who commit at lot of their time to the club to ensure the children are given the best they can.
“The majority of the coaches and club committee dedicate their time, as well as being either in full time education or have full time jobs.
Bill is a soldier in the infantry and has decided to put his skills into action by walking the 84 miles as well a camping out along the way.
He will be funding any equipment and supplies he may need himself so that every penny raised can go straight to the club to purchase much needed kit and equipment for the 2019/2020 season.
The club has set up a Just Giving page and welcome any donations, however big or small, to help with this cause.
