Catterick Garrison’s Military WAGS Choir will perform a charity concert for a little boy with a tumour later this month.

The concert will take place in Colburn Village Hall on Friday, June 16.

The event will raise money for the family of local boy Jack Weaver.

Jack, 9, has been diagnosed with a tumour on his spine.

He has already suffered irreparable damage to the nerves in his arm.

Doctors are not able to operate due to the location of the tumour but they can offer radiotherapy in an attempt to stop the tumour growing.

The family has had to travel every day to the RVI in Newcastle.

The money raised will go towards his family costs and for a holiday for Jack when he has finished his treatment.

A donation from will also go to RVI and  children’s cancer charity CLIC Sargent.

Tickets for the event are £10, including dinner. There will be a bar and raffle.

For tickets, call Angie Dale on 07833 490502 or Vicky Weaver on 07970 879664.
