Catterick pupils collect Easter eggs for looked after children

Schools in Catterick Garrison have collected dozens of Easter eggs for looked after children around the county.

1 Yorks Regiment asked schools in the town to help collect enough eggs to give every looked after child in North Yorkshire a chocolate treat.

Wavell Community Schools’ Federation were among the schools which helped.

Headteacher Gillian Crouch said: “Our school are like a big family and although I am not surprised at all at everyone’s generosity, I am overwhelmed with pride at the thoughtfulness of our students.”

Le Cateau Primary School also took part.

Headteacher Ian Mottram said: “It has been great to see all the donations coming in from our families.

“We hope this bring a little bit of extra Easter cheer for this very worthy cause.”
