Catterick pupils make scarecrows for literature festival

Catterick Garrison primary school pupils have helped to produce scarecrow trail of book characters.

The children at Le Cateau School made scarecrows for the Children’s Literature Festival which was held in Skipton last month.

The festival at Broughton Hall featured a huge scarecrow trail of book characters made by schools across the county.

Over 70 authors, poets and illustrators performed over the weekend as part of the festival.

As part of the events, children from Le Cateau School visited Tennants at Leyburn to see the popular children’s author, Tom Palmer.
