Catterick woman on track to qualify as solicitor

A Catterick woman is on her way to qualifying as a solicitor after graduating with a law degree.

Ashlee Muir graduated from Teesside University with her LLP Law Degree and will now be studying for her SQE (legal practice course) from September at the University of Law in Newcastle.

She will take the course while on a training contract with Richmond-based Hunton & Garget Solicitors in order to become a fully qualified solicitor.

Hunton & Garget managing partner, Lisa Potts, said: “Ashlee joined us in May 2021 to do a few weeks work experience and we were more than happy for her to remain working with us when she returned to University in September.

“She’s a valued member of the Hunton & Garget team and we’re so proud of her recent exam success.

“We are committed to providing local people with the opportunity to commence a career in law so when Ashlee said that she wanted to start the new SQE route to become a solicitor we were thrilled — she’ll make a great solicitor.”
