CCTV image released of many suspected of sing fake £20 notes

Police have issued CCTV from the Co-op in Richmond of a man they would like to speak to following reports fake £20 notes had been used in the Richmondshire area.

The man was caught on camera on Friday at around midday.

The man was described as white, aged in his late 40s and had a ginger beard.

He was wearing a black jacket, blue jeans, dark trousers and a grey baseball cap.

Police say similar incidents occurred in Leyburn and Catterick Garrison.

Officers are asking members of the public to get in touch if they recognise the man in the image.
