Changes at Richmondshire business networking group

The Richmond Business Network (RBN) has been renamed the Richmondshire Business Network as part of a refresh of the group.

A new committee has also been formed as part of a social enterprise company, which will manage the network.

The RBN was formed in September 2010 as a forum for businesses in Richmond and the Dales area to meet and develop business.

Links have been developed with businesses and associations across Yorkshire and County Durham.

David Gibson, RBN chair, said the change allowed RBN to re-focus their programme of events to promote business links within the Richmondshire area and neighbours in The Dales and Darlington, Durham and Northallerton/ Hambleton areas.

He added: “This is an important development for the RBN to take things forward.

“We have built up a great group of members and visitors over the past ten years by holding events primarily in Richmond and at Scotch Corner and we are now making plans to re-introduce ourselves to some old friends and to link with some new ones.”

On May 23 members will meet for lunch at the refurbished Fleece Hotel in Richmond –
