
Four local charities have taken a share of over £7,000 raised by the former chairman of Richmondshire District Council.
Councillor Angie Dale, who stood down in May, held a host of fund raising events during her year long term of office – including coffee mornings, afternoon teas, a ball, civic reception and dinner. They raised a massive £7084.

- Catterick, Richmond & Colburn Community Libraries – £2,000
- The Friends of Garget Walker House – £2,000
- Great North Air Ambulance – £1,542.06
- Yorkshire Air Ambulance – £1,542.06
“All the charities are worthy causes – but all of them mean something to me personally too,” she said. “I worked very hard to raise as much money as possible during my 12 months and am very proud to have brought in over £7,000.”
