A fundraising event will be held later this month in support of a local gym owner who has been diagnosed with cancer.
Rob Bartlett, owner of Leyburn’s Fitness4All gym, was diagnosed with stage 3 myeloma, also known as bone marrow cancer, earlier this year.
Friend Leonie Garrard is holding a coffee morning in support of Rob in her garden at 30, The Shawl on August 28 from 10am until “they run out ok cakes!”
The event, which is being organised by Leonie together with other gym members and friends, will raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
There will be activities for children at the coffee morning, as well as a tombola.
The address is the last house before the Shawl playing fields in Leyburn.
It can also be accessed from Riseber. If bad weather, the event will be re-located to Leyburn Scout Hall.
