Cancer charity Marie Curie is on the lookout for some new volunteers to join its Wensleydale fundraising group.
Volunteers would support the charity’s work by organising and growing a new collection tin campaign in the local community.
The group organise small events locally, and meet up every few months to come up with new ideas and have a chat.

Gemma Hewitt , Marie Curie community fundraiser, said: “Currently, we only have ten boxes in the area so this is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in supporting the charity by building relationships with local businesses. Please get on touch. All our volunteers have Photo ID and are all registered with us.
“Volunteers are an amazing asset to Marie Curie and we would like to thank everyone for giving up their time to support us.
“Marie Curie relies heavily on the support of our volunteers, without whom we would not be able to continue providing care and support to people with terminal illnesses, and their loved ones, in the local community.
“Supporting the charity gives people the opportunity to gain unforgettable experiences, immerse themselves in a new culture and obtain new skills while doing something fulfilling.”
