Charity walk planned to raise money for abandoned dogs

A charity walk will take place later this month to raise money for a dogs charity.

Animal Friends of Turkey is a charity based in Richmond which helps rescue abused and abandoned dogs in the Mediterranean country, where charity leaders say dogs are often mistreated.

The Ronnie’s Rescue Walk walk will take place from 11am on Sunday, March 17 from Richmond Station.

The three-and-a-half-mile-route will take in Easby Abbey and Richmond Castle, and is expected to take two hours.

The walk costs £10 for adults and £5 for children with dogs free.

Participants are asked to bring cash on the day,.

All money will; go towards the charity’s work.
