Cheese experience offers free entry to children

The Yorkshire Wensleydale Cheese Experience at the Wensleydale Creamery in Hawes is offering free entry to children under 16 during half term.

Activities at the attraction include watching live demonstrations to completing the new Cheese Trail and tasting their range of handcrafted cheese in the Taste of Yorkshire Tasting Area.

A spokesperson for the venue added: “What’s more, you can catch a glimpse of Yorkshire Wensleydale’s most famous fans, Wallace and Gromit, and have your picture taken with the characters from the much-loved films.

“Created by the Hawes Yarnbombers, these fantastic knitted, life-size figures have now found a permanent home at the creamery.”

The creamery is also running some offers in the Calvert’s Restaurant, with kids eating for £5 from the children’s menu.

Offers are valid for children under 16 until Sunday, February 18.
