
A child was injured after being hit by a car in Richmond this morning.
The emergency services came to the aid of a boy who was injured in the incident in the town’s Gallowgate at about 8.30am.
North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said the boy, who they said was of primary school age, had been clipped by a car after jumping over a wall.
Firefighters from the nearby fire station gave the boy, who had suffered ankle injuries, first aid.
They left him in the car of Yorkshire Ambulance Service paramedics who took him to hospital.
