
A farm-based children’s nursery in Richmondshire got it’s charity fundraising off to a great start following a fundraising walk
High Bank Day Nursery in Stapleton, near Darlington has chosen the Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) as its charity of the year.
The first event saw staff, parents, children, and even a few dogs, walking five miles around Richmond.
Through sponsorship, the nursery raised £700 for GNAAS.
High Bank manager Hayley Grainger said: “We had an amazing turn out and it was great to see so many people wanting to raise money for a good cause.
“We would like to thank everyone who took part and everyone who provided sponsorship.
“This is just the first of many events we will be holding this year, but we are pleased to have got off to a good start.”
