Children’s toys and games need new home

A new home is wanted for children’s toys and games following the end of a kids’ club.

The Tunstall club shut in 2010 and although attempts have been made to revive the club, it has been decided not to to keep it going.

Equipment used by the club is now being offered to a similar community group who can make good use of it.

The equipment includes a table tennis table, a Wii, a snooker table, indoor and outdoor games and a camera, as well as drawing, modelling and craft equipment.

Martin Richardson, chair of the parish council, said: “We are looking for a group, who might be just starting, to take it over.

“We would just expect a small contribution to the village hall funds and we would favour a group who would clear it all out rather than leave us with bits and pieces.”

A community group interested in taking the items should call Martin on 01748 834473
