Cinema offers Christmas film tickets in return for food donations

The Station Cinema.

The Station Cinema is putting on two showings of the Christmas classic Elf in exchange for food donations as part of Cans For Claus.

On Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4 audiences can pop along to the Station Cinema and enjoy a free showing of Elf (starring Will Ferrell) at 11.30am both days.

In order to get your ticket, all you have to do is donate at the box office 2 items of ‘canned food’ per person.

The items of food will then be donated to the fantastic team at the Store House foodbank in the heart of Richmond and will go a long way to helping support families who are accessing the foodbank services.

General manager Dan Westgarth said “It’s incredibly important that at Christmas we don’t lose sight of those around us who may be struggling.

“I hope we can help the local community alongside offering a festive film that will allow us to deliver a generous amount of donations to help anyone needing support from the Store House foodbank”.

Tickets are available at any time from the Cinema box office during opening hours, just don’t forget to take your 2 cans of food along to exchange for your ticket.

Any queries can be answered by speaking to a member of the cinema team at the box office, visiting www.stationcinema.com or giving the cinema a call during opening hours 01748 823062.
