Citizens Advice launches drop-in advice sessions for military personnel

Citizens Advice in Richmond.

North Yorkshire Citizens Advice & Law Centre is now delivering face to face drop-in advice sessions for serving personnel, their families, and veterans in Catterick as part of the Catterick Connection service.

After funding from and support from the Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust along with Veterans Foundation the Catterick Connection will provide free, confidential, and impartial advice to serving forces personnel,  veterans and their families based at, and around, Catterick Garrison in North Yorkshire.

The service will focus on resolving financial problems, including those caused by the cost-of-living crisis, support with benefits, housing, and interlinked family relationship issues.

The project will include two days outreach at Catterick Garrison and a day office based in Richmond for face to face / telephone appointments.

The organisation said an experienced adviser would be able to provide advice on benefits, energy, debt, housing, and also signpost to specialist legal advice.

The service also has a dedicated telephone helpline, and contact email address for people needing to get in touch for advice:
