Clubbercise launches in Richmond after Catterick Garrison success

A Clubbercise class will launch in Richmond this week following the success of a new Catterick Garrison group.

Instructor Victoria Brown said her Clubbercise class at Club Louis in Catterick Garrison, which launched last month, was a big success.

She added: “It was well attended and had participants of all ages, sizes and fitness levels.

“The launch ran from 7pm to 9pm and had two main 30 minute dance sessions which were comprised of simple, fun dance fitness routines using glow sticks to club anthems from 90′s classics to the latest chart hits.”

Vicroria said the disco atmosphere was popular as it made people feel more comfortable and as though they were out on a night out rather than exercising.

She added: “The UV lighting was a huge hit and everyone took part in the UV face painting. There was even a best UV paint competition.

“There was a free raffle with Clubbercise classes up for grabs as well as a paid raffle to raise money for a local campaign for Jack Weaver.

Classes run from 6.30pm to 7.30pm each week at Club Louis.

Victoria said demand had resulted in a Richmond class being added to the schedule with a launch night on Thursday, April 13.
