Colburn man remanded in custody after court appearances

York Magistrates' Court.

A Colburn man facing child grooming charges has been remanded in custody.

Craig Daly, 27, appeared at York Magistrates’ Court on Monday and again today.

He did not make a plea and was remanded back in custody.

This story continues after the adverts:

He will appear at Harrogate Magistrates’ Court later this week via video link from HMP Hull.

The defendant was arrested on Friday night at his home in Colburn.

Police were called to the property after an investigation by so-called paedophile hunters, who use on-line decoys to gather evidence of child sex offences.

Richmondshire Today understands the man’s dog, which could be seen on a video taken by the group, is being looked after by friends and family.
