Colburn Primary School pupils visit the bright lights of London

Colburn primary School children take in the sights of London.

Pupils from Colburn Primary School have taken in the bright lights of London.

Year 6 children visited the capital last week and had a great time seeing the sights and learning about city life.

They explored the British Museum and the Houses of Parliament, saw Tower Bridge, Covent Garden, Downing Street and Horse Guards Parade.

During the trip they watched the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, and even squeezed in visits to Hamleys toy shop, the world’s largest LEGO Store in Leicester Square and M&M World.

The highlight of the trip was a visit to the Cambridge Theatre to see Matilda the Musical.

And the children have returned to school in the Christmas spirit after seeing the Oxford Street Christmas lights shortly after they were switched on by Rita Ora.
