A favourite of the festive season, the annual Christmas Charity Concert at The Market House in Hawes, will take place on Friday, December 22, at 7.30pm.
In keeping with the rich musical tradition of the upper Dales, there will be performances from Hawes Silver Band and the Aysgarth Singers, both led by Stan Roocroft MBE, and Young Voices Choir led by Barbara Roocroft.
“It’s a fantastic festive celebration for all the family to enjoy with singing of traditional carols accompanied by the band – a great opportunity to sing together in a celebration of friendship and harmony with lots of enjoyable music-making to lead us into the festive season,” says Stan. Adults £8 on the door, children under 16 free, accompanied by an adult. There is a raffle and light refreshments included and all proceeds from the evening will go to support the work of St. Teresa’s Hospice home care service.
