Coffee shop chain Costa appears to be opening a branch in Leyburn.
A notice has been posted in a window on the door of the former HSBC bank, which closed in June.
The notice is advertising for a new store manager for a new Costa opening in the town.
This story continues after the adverts:
A post advertising the job has also been placed in local Facebook job vacancy groups.
The email address given was previously used for recruiting staff ahead of the opening of the Bedale branch of Costa in 2016.
The email address appears to belong to Cuppacoff Limited, a company which runs a number of Costa franchises across the country and is based in Wembley, London.
According to its last full accounts, the company had 24 branches of the coffee shop and made profits after tax of £262,000.
The HSBC branch closed in June prompting speculation on the new owners of the historic building.
Richmondshire Today has contacted Cuppacoff Limited but has not yet received a response.

Another rip off franchise coffee house, Starbucks next!! Goodbye to at least one of the local cafes.
Appalling! This is totally inappropriate for a small market town such as Leyburn, where small businesses already struggle to survive. Yet another example of profit over people!
The last thing we need is a coffee house chain in Leyburn. We already have several perfectly good independent cafes here who serve excellent coffee.
Don’t need another coffee plaice
Don’t need any more coffee shops in Leyburn
