North Yorkshire-based Paralympian and author Danielle Brown with her gold medals and an honorary Ready, Set, Read medal. Danielle visited Skipton library to talk about how she overcame disability, nerves and lack of confidence to become an Olympic champion in Beijing and London. With Danielle are two of Skipton library’s young volunteer Reading Hacks, Beth Kent, 12, and Emily Scott, 16, while Summer Reading Challenge participant Lucy Browne, seven, holds Danielle’s book, Run Like a Girl.
