Swaledale Mountain Rescue Team were called out today to rescue two motorists stranded with their dog on an icy Dales road.
Police requested assistance when the trio were left unable to move their vehicle due to treacherous conditions.
The incident happened on Bouldershaw Lane, between Langthwaite in Arkengarthdale and Low Row in Swaledale.
Both occupants were evacuated from the scene by stretcher, along with their dog.
