Coverdale clay shooting days return for third year

The Agglethorpe Estate in Coverdale will hosts its third annual clay shooting days next month.

The event, which is open to everyone, will take place from June 8 to 10.

Teams of four will shoot simulated driven game targets at stands along the River Cover.

June 8 and 9 are corporate days’, offering teams both full hospitality and shooting, which starts with breakfast and concludes with a two-course lunch at the Saddle Room Restaurant.

Saturday, June 10 will be the estate’s charity day, which this year is being run in support of the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, Candlelighters and the Dales School at Morton on Swale.

Teams of four will shoot 600 clays targets across six challenging stands to try and win a free corporate entry to next years shoot, which is worth £720.

Organiser Tim Gibson said: “It was a tough time when starting this event at the end of covid lockdowns, and now getting it the third year and growing in popularity each time makes the work and effort worth it.

“It is great to hear the feedback when you bump into people who have been reflecting on their day and looking forward to the next.”

Booking for each of the days is essential and the closing date is Wednesday, May 31.

Booking can be done online, by email or phone:
