David and Lewis Moss, owners of the Wensleydale Heifer.

The Little White Bus has been given an udderly great make-over after being sponsored by a local hotel and restaurant!

The Wensleydale Heifer in West Witton has agreed a deal to sponsor one of the buses for at least two years.

Father and son owners Lewis and David Moss approached the Upper Dales Community Partnership with the idea to turn the vehicle into a “cow bus”.

With the addition of some strategically placed splotches, eyelashes, swishing tail and even some bright pink udders, The Cow Bus is already proving to be a huge hit with passengers.

Lewis said: “We see the Little White Bus passing the Heifer all the time and always remark what a fantastic service is offers to people in the Dales, both those who visit our lovely area, and those of us who are lucky enough to live here.

“We used to have a Cow Car which always gathered lots of attention when out and about, and hit upon the idea that a bus would be even more eye-catching.

“We are delighted to be supporting the Upper Dales Community Partnership and the Little White Bus service, we think it’s ‘udderly’ fantastic.”

Sean Warren, from the Upper Dales Community Partnership, said: “The Wensleydale Heifer is known throughout the Dales for the high quality of service it provides to its visitors, and is itself a big draw, bringing people into the area to visit.

“They, like us, are proud to be a part of the Dales community, providing quality services to visitors and locals alike.

“We are thrilled to be working with the Heifer team on this project which has been lots of fun. We can’t wait to see what reaction the Cow Bus gets when journeying through the Dales.”

The Little White Bus is a community service providing scheduled and home to school transport to the residents of, and visitors to Upper Wensleydale and Swaledale in North Yorkshire and is operated by Upper Dales Community Partnership.

Most of the drivers are volunteers.
