Crafters will come together this weekend to raise money for Australian wildlife affected by the devastating wildfires.

A pop-up cafe and craft workshop will take place this Saturday in Richmond Methodist Church from 10am to 4pm.

Michelle Emptage, who is helping to organise the event, said: “We’ve all seen the devastation in Australia due to the wild fires and you may be aware by now that the crafting community are drawing together from across the world to
make desperately needed items for the injured, orphaned and homeless animals and to raise much needed funds for
their care.

“This will be an opportunity for knitters, sewers and crocheters to craft together, swap ideas, and obtain the authorised patterns from the Australian Animal Rescue Effort.

“There will also be tea, coffee and homemade cakes for sale so if you don’t craft you can still help raise money for medical supplies for injured animals.”
