Crucial Crew welcomes more than 1,200 North Yorkshire primary school children

More than 1,200 primary school children have taken part in workshops aimed to help and support them as they grow older.

Subjects including online safety, fire safety, water safety, smoking and vaping and drug awareness were just some of the subjects covered at Crucial Crew.

The event saw 56 schools from across Hambleton, Richmondshire and Harrogate Districts attend the Carlton Lodge Activity Centre near Thirsk.

North Yorkshire Police and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service, along with partner agencies, delivered informative and fun workshops to 1,278 children.

The event was organised by the School Liaison Team but they could not run without the support of partner services including North Yorkshire Youth, NYC Living Well and Neighbourhood Policing Colleagues, who are integral to the delivery of the sessions.
