Dales children muddy puddle jump for charity

Children have jumped for joy and to raise money for charity.

Dales childminders Carol Hodgson, from Coverdale, Janet Jones, from Redmire, and assistant Lauren Hodgson hosted their own muddy puddle jumping event for Save the Children.

The event coincided with the charity’s Peppa Pig Muddy Puddle Walk week, which was encouraging people to go for a sponsored walk to raise money.

The children enjoyed playing with lots of mud ,jumping in muddy puddles and making mud pies in the mud kitchen.

Carol said: “Children explored their environment socially and emotionally making new friends having fun and helping other children around the world.

“During the morning we had a surprise visit from Peppa Pig herself.

“She gave children a certificate, balloon and sticker and thanked them for all their hard work.”

The afternoon was followed up by Peppa Pig activities.
