A Dales distillery has announced the launch of a Yorkshire version of tequila.
The Wensleydale Spirit Company will unveil its ‘t’quila’ spirit at the upcoming Great Yorkshire Show.
Visitors to Stand 148 at the show will be able to sample the newly drink, which is the Leyburn company’s take on Mexican tequila.
Chris Taplin, founder and co-owner of the Wensleydale Spirit Company said: “t’quila will be available to the public for the first time at the Great Yorkshire Show, and we are excited to hear reaction to the latest addition to our growing range of craft spirits.
“t’quila is our nod to the world famous Tequila drink, but with a twist. As with all our products, t’quila is a high quality premium spirit, and as such is just as lovely neat or used in mixers.
“And the name? Well that, as we say, is best ‘served’ with a good Yorkshire accent.”
