Dales pupils to hold futuristic fair

Children prepare for the futuristic fair.

Children from Bainbridge, Askrigg and West Burton schools will come together later this month to host a futuristic fair.

The BAWB Federation event will be held at West Burton Church of England School on Friday, December 13.

Dressed in futuristic clothes, pupils from years three to six will be selling items they have created, such as lavender bags, mobile phone cases and baked goods.

The aim of the event is to raise funds to buy new topic books and resources for all three schools.

“The children have really enjoyed creating futuristic items, such as lavender bags in the shape of planets and mobile phone holders,” said headteacher Charlotte Harper.

“We are planning to bake lots of cakes and biscuits to sell as well and we are all really looking forward to dressing up in clothes that will be fit for the future.”

Families and the wider community are invited to the fair at 1pm to 2.30pm to support the children and their entrepreneurial activities.

Futuristic dress is encouraged but entirely optional.
