
Police are appealing for witnesses after two motorbikes and a car were involved in a collision in the Yorkshire Dales.
The incident occurred on the B6255 near Newby Head Farm, between Hawes and Ingleton, on Sunday just after 2pm.
One patient, a female, was taken to James Cook Hospital by the Great North Air Ambulance with serious injuries.

Another patient was taken to hospital by road ambulance.
Three other air ambulances attended the scene.
Police officers from three forces were involved, with Cumbria, Lancashire and West Yorkshire police forces assisting colleagues from North Yorkshire.
Yorkshire Ambulance Service and North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service also had personnel at the scene, with firefighters from Hawes and Settle, as well as an fire service officer, attending.
The road reopened on Sunday evening after being closed all afternoon to allow the collision investigation unit to conduct an investigation of the scene.
Any witnesses who were travelling along the B6255 at the time of the collision, or anyone with any information which could assist officers in establishing the circumstances around the incident are asked to contact North Yorkshire Police.
Officers would particularly like to speak to anyone with dash cam footage of the incident or any of the vehicles involved.

The sooner a blanket 40mph speed limit is introduced in the national park the sooner we stop seeing incidents like this happening every weekend .
