Dance academy appeals for contributions for International Dance Day presentation

Richmond-based Rhythm and Shoes Dance Academy is marking International Dance day by putting together a presentation video and is asking for clips.

The dance school is appealing for families in lockdown to perform either a short a dance or movements of your choice and then send the film or photograph.

Louise Richmond, from the dance academy, said: “The routines or photos can be based on a well-known routine or something you or your children have created yourselves.

“It can be any style and any ability and as long or as short as you like.

“We will then join the clips and photos together and create a presentation video.

“We would like to have as many people as possible involved so we would like to extend the invitation to anyone in the Richmondshire area feel free to invite others to join in and send their photos and clips. Please of course be mindful of social distancing rules.”

The deadline for contributions is May 4.

“For anyone who has a business, we are happy to tag your business name to the presentation video if you advise the name when submitting your photos/clips,” Louise added.

“We are so looking forward to receiving your entries. Good luck, let’s see what you can create.”
