A dance academy has got Richmondshire moving by pulling together clips to mark International Dance Day.
Richmond-based Rhythm and Shoes Dance Academy celebrated the day by putting together a video featuring clips by people from across the district stuck indoors due to the lockdown.
The dance school asked for families to perform either a short a dance or movements of their choice and then send the film or photograph.
Louise Richmond, from the dance academy, said: “It was lovely to see such community spirit from everyone.
“We had lots of different dance styles sent to us, people were really enthusiastic about being involved in the project which was lovely to see.
“People were also really creative regarding the choreography they sent.”
Louise added: “We feel that it is especially important at this time to boost morale and seeing people enjoy themselves doing something that they love is a great way to do that.
“At the moment we are also offering some free dance classes whereby people can try certain dance styles in their own homes at their own pace this enables people that can’t currently go to a class the opportunity to still dance.
“It also enables people to perhaps try something new that they have not tried before or revisit a childhood skill.”
