Dark Skies Festival exhibition opens in Reeth

The exhibition is opened by Stuart Parsons, chair of the district council.

An exhibition celebrating the launch of the Dark Skies Festival has been officially opened in Reeth by Councillor Stuart Parsons, chairman of Richmondshire District Council.

More than a dozen local children aged between 5 and 13 have recently attended two art workshops at Hudson House in Reeth, organised by one of the directors, Nick Cauldwell.

The children have produced some amazing and inventive pictures and mobiles to celebrate the forthcoming Dark Skies fortnight and these will be on display in the Hudson House Gallery from February 15 to 29.

Richmondshire District Councillor Richard Good said β€œThe children have produced some amazing artwork and let their imagination fly with some fantastic pictures. I hope residents and visitors will go along to see their work.”

The gallery is open from 10am to 3.30pm daily and admission is free.”
