A delivery service is being arranged for the over-70s and those self isolating in Swaledale and Arkengarthdale.

Reeth Medical Centre is working with Reeth Post office and Cornershop to set up a service to deliver medicines, food and essential items to the over-70s and those isolating at home.

An appeal has gone out for volunteers in Swaledale and Arkengarthdale who can help co-ordinate and deliver items.

If you are interested or know of someone who is, please contact the team on contact.egp@nhs.net

Residents are urged not call the Post Office or the Medical Centre.

Dr Mike Brookes, from Reeth Medical Centre, said they we want to keep these lines open for patients as they were doing more telephone consultations than usual.
