Dispersal order put in place in Colburn to tackle anti-social behaviour

A dispersal order has been put in place in Colburn following problems with youths.

The order is in place until 11pm tonight.

A spokesperson for Richmondshire neighbourhood policing team said: “This is due to a number of calls we have received in the last few days in relation to youths causing issues in the community.

“A dispersal order means that should we encounter anybody in the area causing anti social behaviour we can disperse them from the area and return them home to their parents.

“Failure to comply with this could result in a Court appearance.

“We would encourage you to please contact the police on 101 or 999 if you are the victim of anti social behaviour, or witness to this.”
