Richmondshire District Council will hold its first virtual meeting next week.
Planning committee councillors will meet on June 2 through the Zoom system.
All committee members have undertaken training in the system over the last ten days holding mock meetings to test its efficiency and safety.
It is the first virtual meeting held by the council since lockdown as a result of the coronavirus epidemic.
More are expected to follow – including annual council and corporate board.
