Businesses in Richmondshire are to get more support from the district council to benefit from regional supply chains.
The authority has become a delivery partner for the Supply Chain Network Project to develop regional supply chains.
The network aims to help businesses identify supply chain opportunities and give support to help secure them.
The project includes a range of support including specialist consultancy advice offering knowledge of supply chains, sectors and industries; workshops and event programmes to increase specialist knowledge; and grants and financial assistance to support supply chain growth.
Sue White, the council’s business and community manager, said: “We are thrilled that we have been invited to be a delivery partner for this exciting new project.
“Supply chains can be complex and businesses often need support throughout the tender process.
“This project will really be another string to our bow in the range of support services we already offer our businesses,” said
Leader of the council, Councillor Angie Dale, added: “This new project fits perfectly with our new Council Plan 2019-2024, under our Inclusive Growth priority.
“It will help us to support our businesses to achieve their growth potential.”
