Double success for Richmond Dance Centre students

Students at Richmond Dance Centre are celebrating a double success after achieving the school’s best-ever Royal Academy of Dance ballet examination results alongside major audition achievements.

Pupils from the dance school recently completed their Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet exams and achieved an impressive set of results, including two high merits, 18 distinctions and one high distinction.

The school, based in Scorton, says it regularly achieves strong examination performances, but this year’s results are the highest in its history.

Alongside the exam success, two students from the dance centre also impressed during auditions for the prestigious Northern Ballet Associates programme in Leeds.

Constance successfully secured a place on the Junior Associates programme, while fellow student Piper earned a place on the reserve list for the Intermediate Associates.

The Northern Ballet Associates scheme offers additional professional-level training for talented young dancers hoping to pursue careers in the performing arts.

Dance school principal Miss Laura said she was “beyond proud” of the students and praised their dedication and passion.

She said: “The recent exam and audition success highlights the hard work, determination and passion my students bring to class every week.

“Richmond Dance Centre aims to provide high quality training in a fun and nurturing environment and I am honoured to be a part of these students’ dance journey.”

The school offers a range of dance classes for children and young people and has built a strong reputation locally for helping students develop both confidence and performance skills.
